M.D.C. : "Millions of dead cops" LP - 1982 - USA, CA, San Francisco - Pressings #1 and #2 with a different mix than the later ones...

Ok, here are the first and second ever pressings of this fantastic classic LP from 1982.

Of course, no need to introduce this band, formerly the Texas STAINS...

And, no need to introduce, this classic debut LP by this Texas/California band with its 14 political, tight and fast songs.

But, maybe it's useful to remember some infos about both early pressings...

Pressing #1 - First pressing (500 made) has white border around front sleeve, black band name on orange background, plain white labels.

Pressing #2 - Second pressing on R Radical (cat.# mdc-1) with white border around the sleeve, band name in black on red background.

Pressings #1 and #2 have a different mix than the later ones, and B side tracks are in different order (“Kill the Light” after “I hate work” instead of after “Church & State”).

You can see the difference with the orange and red back covers.

Both pressings comes with double-sided lyric insert.

M.D.C. is just penwritten on the second pressing insert lyric sheet (on both sides).

And I can't see a difference between both inserts.

M.D.C. is still penwritten on the back of this second pressing insert lyric sheet...

Side A plain white label for the first pressing.

Side A label of the second pressing

Side B plain white labels for the 1st pressing.

Side B label of the second pressing.

And now, for those about interests into ripps directly doing from the original vinyls :

Here's the link for the 1st pressing (directly ripped from the 1st ever original vinyl pressing) :

Remember that PUKE N VOMIT RECORDS reissued the original mix and cover as the first...

...But with this VIOLATION blog post, you definitively have both ripps from both original vinyls pressings !

So enjoy the music and buy the PUKE N VOMIT reissue if you don't have the 1st ever pressing or the 2nd pressing of this gem !
